Affiliate marketing is PRINCIPAL (vendor) and AGENT (affiliate marketer) relationship. Affiliate marketer receive COMMISSION from vendor after completing delegated TASKS such as sales completed, forum sign up, click on vendor link etc. Tasks with higher risk of non-payment such as sales completed carry higher commission, unlike tasks such as click on vendor links carry lower commission.

Affiliate marketing is one of the internet marketing strategies available for vendors, affiliate marketers should adopt to other internet marketing strategies to monetize via affiliate marketing.
